Principal’s Message
Dear Bolton Crossing Families,
The start of the school year is just around the corner, and I hope you all had a fun and enjoyable summer! I am thrilled to embark on this year’s adventure as the Principal of Bolton Crossing Elementary. This will be my third year at Bolton, and my 34th year as an educator.
This year marks a bit of a new beginning for me personally as well. I recently had knee replacement surgery, but I am recovering on schedule and anticipate returning to school shortly after the students arrive. In my absence, Cathy Moore, retired Principal from Richard Avenue, has kindly stepped in to help. I hope you’ll have the opportunity to meet her at our Sweet Treats and Greet event on August 19th.
As we welcome students back, please note the staggered start for K-3 students based on last names:
● August 21st: Students with last names A-G
● August 22nd: Students with last names H-O
● August 23rd: Students with last names P-Z
Fourth graders will join us for all three days (August 21st-23rd).
We warmly invite you to join us for the Sweet Treats and Greet on August 19th from 3:00-4:30 p.m. This event is a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to meet our staff and connect with others in the Bolton Crossing community. It’s a great way to help students feel comfortable and excited about their first day. More details found in the newsletter!
We also encourage you to consider joining our PTA. The PTA plays a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience at Bolton Crossing, and being a part of it means contributing to the many wonderful activities and support we offer our students. They will have a table at the Sweet Treats and Greet with membership information.
Our commitment to your child’s well-being, health, and safety remains our top priority. We have set ambitious learning goals for the year and will begin assessing students' skills immediately to tailor our approach for their success. We also believe that strong relationships with students and families are essential for success. Please partner with us by engaging in conversations about your child’s day, celebrating their achievements, and reviewing their school work regularly. I am looking forward to another fantastic year at Bolton Crossing Elementary and am excited about the opportunities and
experiences ahead.
Warm regards,
Abby Miller, Principal
