2025-2026 Transportation Opt-in/Opt-Out (all families)
As South Western City Schools look ahead to the summer with transportation planning for the 2025–2026 school year, we are asking all families to complete our K–12 Transportation Opt-In/Opt-Out Form. Your participation will help us build more efficient and effective routes to support students to maximize route efficiencies and avoid reserving empty seats for families not intending to use the bus.

A note about 11th/12th grade Transportation
Each year, many families—particularly those with students in grades 11 and 12—choose not to use the bus daily. However, a seat is still reserved "just in case." By collecting accurate information about which students plan to use district transportation, we can reduce the number of unused seats, optimize bus routes, and improve efficiency across our fleet.
Your assistance is vital and greatly appreciated as we work to deliver safe and reliable transportation for all students!
FAQs
Who should complete this form?
All South Western City Schools families with students in grades K–12 should complete this form to indicate their intent to use (Opt-In) or not use (Opt-Out) district transportation for the 2025–2026 school year. Please complete one form per student.
What about high school juniors and seniors (grades 11–12)?
Students in grades 11 and 12 must opt in to be assigned a daily seat on a school bus. If a student has not opted in but later needs to ride, a seat can be requested through their school office. This request may take up to 24 hours to process.
I don’t know my child’s student ID—where can I find it?
Student ID numbers can be found in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal (select your child’s picture to view their ID), within your child’s SWCSD email address, or on printed student progress reports. You can also contact ic.help@swcsd.us for assistance.
